FAQ

Common questions about subdomain requests

Is this service free?
Yes, completely free. This is a community project providing free subdomains to open-source developers and individuals.
How long does the review take?
After we receive your application, it is usually processed within 24-48 hours. We reply to the email you provided, so please keep an eye on your inbox.
What do I need to provide?
The subdomain you want, a short description of your project, and DNS records (NS / A / AAAA / CNAME).
Why are NS records recommended?
An NS record delegates DNS management for your subdomain to your own DNS provider (e.g. Cloudflare's free plan). You can then add or modify A/AAAA/CNAME records yourself anytime without contacting us — more flexible and faster. If you just want to point to a single IP or domain, A/AAAA/CNAME records work too.
How do I know if a name is already taken?
Check the domain directory, which lists every name we have issued. If it is not listed, it is most likely free — you can still apply and we will let you know if there is a conflict.
Can my domain be reclaimed?
If the domain is left unmaintained, its content becomes inactive, or it is used for prohibited purposes, it may be reclaimed. Regular use keeps it valid long-term.
